![]() Open Registration – Beginning February 16, 2020 (1) Students currently enrolled in another NSC cooperative preschool Transfer Registration – February 10 – 14, 2020 Students currently enrolled in a Toddlers Class in any other NSC cooperative preschool (4) Age-appropriate child with alumni status from a sibling previously or currently enrolled in our preschool (3) Students currently enrolled in our Pre-3s Class (2) Students currently enrolled in our Pre-3s Class with alumni status from a sibling previously or currently enrolled in our 3-5s Class (1) Students currently enrolled in our 3-5s Class who are returning to the same class Priority Registration – Through February 8, 2020 Third, parental involvement in the preschool means parents play a large role in defining their child’s first school experience.Īpplications for the 2020-2021 preschool year will be processed according to the schedule created by the North Seattle College Cooperative Preschool Program: Second, the student-to-adult ratio is much lower than traditional preschools and daycares because parents and other caregivers assist the teacher in the classroom. Costs can be kept down because parents hold volunteer administration jobs to keep the preschool running smoothly behind the scenes. First, the monthly tuition is substantially lower than traditional preschools and daycares. Though co-op preschools require more parental involvement than traditional preschools and daycares, they also have many benefits. Our preschool is part of the North Seattle College Cooperative Preschool Program and is run entirely by the parents of the students enrolled in the preschool. We also use the Second Step Early Learning curriculum to support their social-emotional learning. We have an amazing set of teachers that use their drama and music backgrounds to create a rich classroom experience for the children. We use the playground at Bryant Elementary School (unaffiliated) for outdoor recess. One open floor plan classroom contains all of our learning centers - including a home center, dramatic play center, art center, library, sensory table, large muscle equipment, and more - facilitating easy movement between centers during free play time. Class is held in the spacious, bright basement of the Ravenna Collaboratory (unaffiliated), which is conveniently located a few blocks off of Northeast 65th Street and 35th Avenue Northeast, just across the street from Bryant Elementary. The University-Ravenna Cooperative Preschool offers a play-based preschool education for children ranging in age from two to five years old.
